Matt and Ted Lee, Southern-food enthusiasts, grew up in Charleston, SC, and are professional writers.
After going to college in the Northeast, they missed the foods of their hometown so they founded The Lee Bros. Boiled Peanuts Catalogue in 1994, a mail-order catalog as a source for "displaced Southerners".
The online store Boiled Peanuts offers grits, boiled peanuts, hard-to-find preserves and relishes, pickles, barbecue sauces, and T-shirts (no cookware).
